Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,652m) 6/7 hours , Overnight at Guesthouse.

DETAILS ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

You are warmly welcome to our country Nepal. On the arrival at international airport, we will address you at airport and bring you to the hotel. First day take rest and at evening you can take a round to the Thamel. At night we host welcome dinner at the one of the delightful Nepalese restaurant with culture program. Overnight at Hotel.  (Included: Dinner)

Day 2

Kathmandu valley Sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m)

Today, morning after our first breakfast we will be ready to visit Kathmandu valley. Our guide will take you to visit Kathmandu valley by private vehicle. At first we move to see Swayambhunath which is located at the hill of Kathmandu valley. This Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple, because here we can found many monkeys are guard the temple. Our next one is Pashupatinath which lies at the north east of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is situated at the bank of Bagamati river and specially this temple is famous as a Hindu temple. In Pashupatinath at the bank of river we can see dead bodies are burning there, and only Hindus are allowed to cremate the dead bodies. Now we move to visit Bouddhanath  Gumpa, which is known as the world’s biggest stupa in Nepal. Then at last we visit Kathmandu Durbar square, locally which is known as Basantapur. In Kathmandu Durbar square we can see kumari house, Kala Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka and many more interesting things. After finishing short distance of sightseeing back to hotel and take rest and preparation time for our trek. Overnight at Hotel.  (Included: Breakfast )

Day 3

Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 35 minutes flight and 3/4 hours trek.

Early in the morning we are drive to airport to take our flight to Lukla. The adventure 35 minutes flight to Lukla with a stunning panorama peaks of Annapurna Himalayan Ranges, Rolwaling and Langtang. Seeing these graceful peaks from flight we reach to Tenzing Hillary airport in Lukla. From Lukla we start our trail to Phakding. Our trekking is start with zoom downhill trail to Thado Koshi River. We need to cross the suspension bridge over it. Just after crossing that suspension bridge we see the view of Mt. Kusum Kangru.  From that bridge our trek starts to gain altitude continually to Ghat. Ghat is a Buddhist village where we can found to see the awesome black mani walls engraved with prayers in white. After passing from Ghat through scattered villages and yak herder’s camps carry us to Phading. Our first day trek at Everest base camp is finished at Phakding. Overnight at Guest house .  (Included: Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner)

Day 4

Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m) 6/7 hours trek.

Our Everest base camp trek starts with crossing the suspension bridge over Dudh koshi River. We need to cross this river for five times. Just walking about 10 minutes from the hotel in Phading we need to cross the 1st bridge. Crossing that 1st bridge our trek starts to move through the forested trail on the left bank of the River. Walking about 35 minutes we reach to Taktak. From Taktak we can view the magnificent view of Mt. Thameserku which is 6600m height with this view and almost of 30 minutes of calm walk brings us to banker and we cross another bridge over Dudh koshi River. After passing the 2nd bridge our trail goes on the right side bank of the river on the stony steps that goes uphill and down like a waves in the sea. Long walking of uphill and down trails we arrive to Manjo. After that walking through the sherpa village we reach to the entrance of sagarmatha National park. Walking about of 20 minutes of trek downhill with a stony trail to the River, cross the next bridge and reach to Jorsale where we can take our lunch.
After lunch, we cross the fourth brigde and our trek along the right bank of the River. Walking about 40 minutes and reach to Larja Doban. In the village we can see the conflux of Dudh koshi and Bhote koshi River. There are two high bridges at Larja Doban. After crossing that higher one bridge our again trail starts with the uphill climb on the stony steps towards Namche Bazar. Crossing the Top Danda with the view of Everest from there and walking the route uphill through the pine forest finally we reach to Namche Bazar. Overnight at Guest house .  (Included: Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner)

Day 5

Acclimatization Day

Today we are taking rest in Namche Bazar. Rest day during trek means to hike to higher elevation and trek downback for proper acclimatization. We will go up to the Everest view hotel, which is situated at the altitude of 3888m. About walking of 2 and half hours of uphill hike on the stony trails open hill delivers us to Everest view hotel. From there we see the views of Thameserku, Kusum, Kangru, Kantega  Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam among others from the site.  After viewing these views we are return back to Namche through same route. It is quite easy while returning back to Namche Bazar. Rest of time you can visit Sherpa museum – it is a great place to learn Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering. You can just go for a short sightseeing of local market at Namche Bazar, itself is a tourist shopping place where we can found all the required things for trekking and mountaineering clothes and equipments. Overnight at Guest house. (Included: Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner)

Day 6

Trek to Tengboche (3,867m) 5/6 hours trek

From Namche Bazar, our trek starts with the uphill walk. Walking about half an hour with the dynamic views of Everest, we reach to Tenzing Norgay Memorial stupa. From stupa almost of two hours walk on the open hillside leads us to Kyangjuma. In Kyangjuma we can see view of Dudh koshi River valley is exceptionally gorgeous. About 300m downhill trek through the pine forest from Kyangjuma brings us to Phunitenga, where we can take our lunch. After taking lunch we cross the bridge over Dudh Koshi River and start our trail uphill climb up to Tengboche. After walking about 5 to 6 hours trails through the beautiful forest of pine and rhododendron,we arrive to Tengboche, one of the most attractive places in the Himalaya. Tengboche is famous for its wounderful views of Ama Dablam Mountain at the back drop of Tengboche monastery. This Tengboche monastery is one of the biggest and famous Buddhist monasteries in Khumbu region. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 7

Trek to Dingboche (4,358m) 6/7 hours trek.

After breakfast our next trek starts from Tengboche our trail descends down through the rhododendron forest to Devoche. On the way we need to cross a bridge over the Imja khola River beyond Devoche, just after crossing the bridge we enter the valley wall and then moves to the plain of Pangboche village which is the largest village of Khumbu. In Pangboch we have great chance to see the typical Sherpa people, their culture and traditional. We can see there the oldest monastery of Khumbu. Then, we start our trail through to Somare. In the Somare we have our lunch and then again start the real Adventure to Everest base camp.  Climbing continually on an uphill trail through the glacial and yak grazing lands we arrive to Dingboche. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 8

Acclimatization Day

Today we will stay in Dingboche for acclimatization. We will go to explore the surrounding chhukung and Imja valleys which are connected with the interesting island peak, the high passes of Makalu Barun National park. We can go to hike to the Chhukung for the stunning panorama of the valley. We can see the Dingboche itself with its typical real people and their styles. And next we will go to the hike up to Nagarshang hill which is 300m higher than Dingboch. From there we have views of Thameserku, Kantega, Ama Dablam, Makalu and island peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 9

Trek to Lobuche (4928 m) 4/5 hour trek

Now from today our trek is gradual uphill because of the altitude is harder and tough. However, we have to walk for two and half hours until we reach to Dungla. In Dungla we take a short break and have a hot cup of tea or coffee. fromDungla we need to walk uphill climb for an hour and leads us to Dugh-la pass, which has the memorials of famous climbers who lost their lives during Everest expedition.Walking about of 5 hours we reach to Lobuche, from where we can see the views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumari and the Nuptse. (Included: Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner)

Day 10

Trek to Gorak shep – Everest Base camp (5320m) – Gorak shep (5160m) 6/7 hours trek.

Today our first trek is an easy walk on the straight trail. After walking straight trail then we need to climb up for thirty minutes of easy hike to catch the glacial view of Mt. Pumori on the way of Gorak shep. Walking of 2 and half hours of up and down trek on the glacial views extended from Khumbu icefall is an interesting roller coaster. Moving down to the glacier crossing half of it all the way to Everest Base camp is interesting fun for walking. At Everest Base camp we can see many colorful tents of Expedition groups. Taking lots of photographs and feeling pleasure by seeing the close up view of Everest from Everest Base camp. Then we return back to Gorak shep. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 11

Hike to Kala Patthar –Pheriche (5550m/ Kalapatthar) (4250m/ Pheriche) 7/8 hours trek

Another adventure day of Everest Base camp trek, today we climb uphill through grassland for 3 hours continues walking through the black rocks to the summit of Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar mention to black rock Nepali. Kalapatthar is the main point for the closest view of Everest. From Kalapatthar we can see the full view of Everest. After seeing awesome view of Everest, our trek moves down to Pheriche. From Dughla our trek reach downhill to the flat valley of Pheriche. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 12

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6/7 hours trek.

Today we are returning back to Namche Bazaar. From Pheriche it takes minimum 30 minutes to exit out of the village. Just we pass the village we need to cross Khumbu khola and we pass through the villages of Orsho, Tsurowog, Shomare and reach to Pangboche at the base of Ama Dablam. Again we need to cross the bridge over Imja khola and pass through the Deboche village and reach to Tengboche. Passing through the villages we come back to the main trail of Everest Base camp trek then retrace on the trail back to Namche Bazar. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 13

Trek back to Lukla 6 to 7 hours trek

After the breakfast we lead down a trail with steeply downward to the Hillary suspension bridge and then gradually walking over many local villages and almost we need to walk through Dudh koshi river valley and surrounding until reaching to Lukla. Keeping continue walking about 6 to 7 hours we reach to Lukla. It is our last night in the Everest region. Overnight at Guesthouse.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 14

Fly to Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft) 35 minutes flight

Today morning we have flight o Kathmandu from Lukla. After our breakfast we head towards the airport to take our flight, you will be checked in the airport before taking our flight back to Katmandu. Taking 35 minutes of flight finally we reach to Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel. At night we will offers you as a farewell dinner in traditional Nepalese restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.  (Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 15

Departure time

Through private vehicle you will transfer to the international airport for your final departure. Have a nice and safe journey. (Included: Breakfast)
