Mera Peak Climbing is an adventure holidays in Everest Nepal. Mera peak is one of the highest peaks in Nepal is technically easy that entails little more than crampons, ice axe etc. Mera peak lies between the giant peak of Mount Everest and Mont Blanc. Mera peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal that many people may not know it. Mera peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal is a climbing expedition suitable for those looking for their first experience mountaineering in the Himalaya.
Main attraction of Mera Peak Climbing is the panoramic views of Himalayan peaks  like Everest 8848m, Cho- Oyu 8201m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu 8463m, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Chamlang etc. Mera peak is situated at Mahalangur Himalayan range in Everest region at Solukhumbu District, located in the Hinku valley Nepal.
Mera peak is a non technical climbing peak in the Everest region of Nepal is suitable for anyone with little or no previous experience of using an ice axe and crampons. Mera Peak Climbing is culturally stimulating journey through remote picturesque villages and forests followed by a gentle climb to the summit.
The journey to the Mera peak starts from Lukla after the 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu. During the trek you walk through the undamaged hill with dense forest which provides you the wilderness experience of the Everest region. En – route you traverse through the dense forest of rhododendron and pine forest remote ethnic settlement of Sherpa people and other group, terraced farming valleys enjoying the beauty of the nature and amazing view of mountains.  On the way to the base camp you can explore various flora and fauna and encounter wild animals and birds like sloth bear and jungle cat etc.
The best times for Mera peak climbing adventure between months of September to December and March to June. The climbing route can be easily lost in case of heavy snow falling. The trekking route to the base camp for Mera peak climbing has the most of the snow in Khumbu region compared to the base camps of the trekking peaks.

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan international airport (1300m.) Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: City tour and trek preparation day (1300m) Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight (40 min.) & trek to Chutok(2,800m), 3-4 hours, Overnight  at Guesthouse.

Day 04: Chutok to Pangkongma (2950m) 6-7 hours, Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 05: Pangkongma to Kurke (3800m) 5-6 hours, Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 06: Kurke to Thulikharka (4200m) 5-6 hours Overnight at Guest House,

Day 07: Thulikharka to Khothey (3600m) 5-6hrs, Overnight at Guest House

Day 08: Khothey  to Tangnang (4350m) 6-7  hrs, Overnight at Guest House,

Day 09: Acclimatization and rest day at Tangnang, Overnight at Guest House,

Day 10: Tangnang  to Khare (4900m) 4-5hrs, Overnight at Guest House,

Day 11: Khare to Mera La (5415m) and Base Camp (5300m) 5-6 hr, Overnight at tented camp,

Day 12: Base Camp to High Camp (5800m) 5- 6hrs, Overnight at Guest House,

Day 13: Summit to Mera Peak (6654m) and then return to Khare (4900m) 10hrs, Overnight at Guest House,

Day 14: Reserve day in case of bad weather,

Day 15: Khare  to Khothey (3600m) 6-7 hrs Overnight at Guest House,

Day 16: Khothey to Thulikharka (4200m) 5-6hrs Overnight at Guest House,

Day 17: ThuliKharka  to Lukla (2804m) 7hrs Overnight at Guest House,

Day 18: Lukla  to Kathmandu 40 min flight,  Overnight at Guest House,

Day 19: leisure day in Kathmandu overnight at hotel.

DETAILS ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1300m), Overnight at Guest House.

Arriving to Tribhuvan International Airport, we will receive you at the airport and brng you to the hotel through private vehicle. At evening we will offer you welcome dinner at one of the finest local restaurant in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. (Meal Included: Dinner)

Day 2

Pre- trip meeting and sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Stay overnight at Guest House.

At morning we will be gathered for short discussion about our trip with our guide. Then we will go for sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley.  In the morning after having breakfast we will go to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square which is known as the Royal palace of Kathmandu. Here we can visit lots if temple, Kumari home and many more. Next we will visit to Swayambhu which is popular as Monkey temple owing to the large number of Monkeys. Then, we move to Pashupatinath temple which lies at the bank of Bagmati River. At last we will visit to Bouddhanath which is nearby Pashupatinath. Bouddhanath is the biggest Buddhist monastery in Asia. This stupa is one of the holy stupas for entire Nepalese. Overnight at hotel.( Meal Included: Breakfast )

Day 3

Morning fly to Lukla (2804m) trek to Chutok (2800m) 3-4 hrs

We will drive to airport early in the morning to take our flight to Lukla. The scenic 35min flight to Lukla caters the panorama of the peaks of Langtang, Rolwaling and Annapurna Himalayas ranges. Landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla is a thrilling adventure. Then we start walking for around 3hrs east from Lukla, passing via a number of settlements before going into the thick forest on the hills below the Kalo Himal edge. There are many routes leading always from the main path, as soon as we reached at Ghutok.  Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 4

Trek to Pangkongma (2950m) 6-7 hrs.

After crossing the Payan Khola, we turn off the main trade route coming up from the south and join an older route, which climbs steeply to the ridge-line overlooking the khare Khola. Descending the other side of the ridge, we then contour along the hillside before climbing steadily up to the attractive farming and trading village of Pangkongma. Taking around 6hrs there we set our camp to spend our night. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 5

​Trek to Kurke (3800m) 5- 6 hours.

We follow magnificent route via mountain that passes through rocky and barren backdrops. We pass through the wonderful panorama of wooden regions belowus. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 6

Trek to Thulikharka (4200m) 5-6 hours.

After our breakfast the adventure begins with a steep climb to cross the Kalo Himal Ridge in the Nau Lekh range which separates the Khumbu from the Hinku Valley. A steep uphill climb brings us to an array of stones in the ridge with prayer flags at 4450m. If the weather is bad the trekking is quite boring so care should be taken but with fine weather. The breathking views across the Dudh Koshi towards Karyolung and the Lumding Himal as well as the rolling foothills of the Hinku Valley. From here we reach Thulikharkha, Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 7

​Trek to Khothey (3600m) 5-6 hours

After breakfast we follow a joyful descending trail across three ridges. Taking an experience of up and down hill way through lush forests of rhododendron on the west side of the Hinku Valley, Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 8

​Trek to Tangnang (4350m) 5-6 hours

After breakfast we start our trek to reach Tangnang. Our trek follows the route along the ridge of the Hinku Khola in the beautiful shadow of Mera Peak. Taking lunch at Gondishung we again continue our delightful trek towards Tangnang. On the way of trek we pass 200 years old Lungsumgba Gompa where we can find Mera Peak scripted in rock along with its route to reach Mera. Tangnang is a grazing area too with some lodges and shops, Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 9

Acclimatization and rest day at Tangnang.

After breakfast our guide will take u to visit around the village area. After our lunch the guides will carry out the last minute checking of the tools for climbing, and then arrange if any equipment becomes necessary to rent. We shall provide training on peak climbing techniques and proper ways of using climbing tools, Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 10

Trek to Khare (4900m) 4-5 hours.

After breakfast we leave Tangnang, we follow the lateral moraine of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka, which offers breathtaking views of Charpate Himal. The trekking climbs through moraines to the Hinku Nup and Sher Glaciers and climb up as well as to Khare. Taking an amazing experience of Northern face of Mera peak make us soundless. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 11

Trek to Mera La (5415m) and Base Camp (5300m) 5-6 hours.

After breakfast we walk through a boulder-strewn course on a steep trail to reach Mera Peak Base Camp. We rest for a while. Our climbing guide will provide training to those who was not getting sufficient training before. The main purpose to give training is developed the confidence level. Rest of the day should be take rest and prepare for the next day. Overnight at tented camp. (Meal included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 12

Climb Base Camp to High Camp (5800m) 5-6 hours.

After breakfast we start our journey from Mera Base Camp to High Camp. Our route is rocky as well as snowed. It is tough to trek but delightful. Upon reaching the High Camp, we set up our camp have lunch and rest. We set up high camp while enjoying excellent views of Mt.Everest, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and many more. Overnight at tented camp. (Meal included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 13

Summit to Mera Peak (6654m) and then return to Khare (4900m) 10hrs.

Today is really a big and the most important day for us as we will be summiting Mera Peak. We must wake up around 2 in the morning for breakfast. It is important that we reach summit before noon because in the afternoon the strong winds in the high lands might becomes a barrier for a successful summit. The way is difficult due to rock and ice so we must use rope according to the instructions of the leader to climb Mera Peak. It takes around 10hrs. At the summit we catch the mighty Himalayas including Mt.Everest, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and many more. When we reach at the top we spend some time taking pictures and celebrating. We safely descend same day back to Khare, Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 14

Reserve day in case of bad weather.

We are not sure about the weather either it is good or bad. In case the weather is not good, we can unable to summit Mera on day 13 due to bad weather condition or any other reason. However, if the trip goes smoothly we do not need this spare day. We can use this day to walk back to Lukla. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 15

Trek to Khothey (3600m) 6-7 hours

After completing our dream we will return back to Khothey. We will return back through different places of Hinku valley. During our walk we will get opportunity of viewing the ranges of mountains with the beauty of nature. Walking slowing and resting in palaces finally we reach to Khothey. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 16

Trek to Thulikharka (4200m) 6-7 hours

Today, we are returning back to Thulikharka. In our returning journey we will first of all climb for about 2hrs to Thulikharka. Our way goes through the forest of rhododendron. The magnificent view of ranges of Merapeak can be seen. After walking for about 6hrs finally we will be Thulikharka. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 17

Trek to Lukla (2804m) 6-7 hours.

Today, our trail will move downward to Lukla. We will return back through the different way as we move ahead. We will follow the track of Dudh Koshi River which the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Walking about for 7hrs we will be at Lukla. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) 

Day 18

​Lukla to Kathmandu 40 min flight.

Early morning we will take mountain flight to Kathmandu. After arriving at Kathmandu airport we move to the hotel. At hotel we will take rest whole day after long journey of our trip. Overnight at Guesthouse. (Meal Included: Breakfast )

Day 19

​Leisure day in Kathmandu overnight at hotel.

After long journey of our trip today we will take rest. At day time you can go for shopping to buy something for your friends and families. at night you will have a welfare dinner in Traditional Nepalese hotel. Stay overnight at hotel. ( Meal Included: Breakfast,  & Dinner)

Day 20

​Departure day

Today, it is the last day of your as a journey in Nepal. We hope that you have wonderful time throughout the trek and hope to see you again in Nepal for next adventure trek. Thanking a lot for choosing us. We will transfer you to the airport before 3 hours of your flight time. Have a safe flight ( Meal Included: Breakfast)
