Namtso Lake is situated at an altitude of 4718m. Namtso Lake is an extremely awesome lake with excellent blue water. Hiking or excursion to Namtso Lake is getting well known among visitors in Tibet. Namtso Lake is also known as the “Heavenly Lake” which is the largest salt water lake in Tibet. Namtso Lake is situated near Damxung 4,718 meters above from the sea level and covering 1900 square kilometers and the second largest salt water in China.
The snow capped Mt. Nyaingentanglha, considered as the son of Namtso and leader of sacred mountains soars up to sky beside her. Singing streams converge into the clean sapphire blue lake, which looks like a huge mirror framed and dotted with flowers.
 Namtso Lake is the third holiest Lakes in Tibet; Namtso Lake is the seat of paramasukha chakrasamvara for Buddhist pilgrims. In the fifth and sixth month of the Tibetan calendar each year, many Buddhists come to the Lake pay homage and pray. 190 kms drive from Lhasa to Namtso Lake involves the high Yangpachen pass, so proper acclimatization is very important to do this hike successfully. The best season for trekking in Namtso lake is late May to October however you must be prepared at all times for wet weather, snow and cold winds. It is a very remote region and all the supplies must be carried by us.
Our Namtso lake trip starts with a sensational Trans Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. We can see different and unique cultural and other heritage sites of Lhasa and then we start the trek.

DETAILS ITINERARY

Day 1

​Arrive in Tribhuvan international Airport, Kathmandu. Flight to Lhasa

The first day of our tour package you will land at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu. Receiving you at Airport you will be familiar with the detail itineraries. Then we will take flight to Lhasa. At the airport of Lhasa you will be welcome by the representative staff and transfer into the hotel. Stay night at hotel.

Day 2

​Sightseeing in Lhasa

Today is important day for us; we are spending two days at Lhasa as the part of sightseeing. Sightseeing in Lhasa begins from Sera monastery and Drepung monastery. Then, we will visit other significant places like Potala palace by taking and Jokhang temple taking an hour of drive. Jokhang temple will take us 1300 years back into the spiritual world and this is taken as the center for spiritual place to Tibet. apart from those places we will move to visit Norbulingka, moving for the relaxation walk at Barkhor street, which is situated in the core of Lhasa spinning Jokhang temple are other attractions of the sightseeing in the those two days. Stay night at hotel.

Day 3

​Sightseeing in Lhasa

Today is important day for us; we are spending two days at Lhasa as the part of sightseeing. Sightseeing in Lhasa begins from Sera monastery and Drepung monastery. Day 4

​Drive to Ganden Monastery

Our next day trip we will drive to ganden monastery after completing the sightseeing in Lhasa. Ganden indicates as the joyful and it is used a sthe Tibetan name for Tushita, the paradise where the Bodhisattva is articulate to exist in Ganden Monastery was different Monastery of the Gelugpa array. There are three main highlights in the Ganden Monastery such as Tsokchen assembly, serdung and chapel. Stay night at hotel.

Day 5

​Drive to Namtso Lake

After taking breakfast we will leave Ganden Monastery and will go for a drive towards to Namtso Lake. Namtso Lake is bale to seize the title of largest lake with saltwater in china. We can see the view of dazzling shade of Turquoise and are enclosed by the superb observations of close mountains. You can walk along the lake or ascend up to the hill to see the sights of nearby areas. Stay night in a tented camp.

Day 6

Excursion

Today is our next new day at Namtso Lake where we will be taking adventage from the wonderful views of the Mount Nyincheng Thangla. You will encounter this day as the pleasurable trip. Spending two days at Namtso Lake we will return to the camp and will be ready for next day to Lhasa. Stay night in a tented camp.

Day 7

​Drive to Lhasa

Early morning we will drive from Namtso to Lhasa taking positive experience along with some alternative routes to take. Lhasa is the last destination as per the trekking itineraries. At evening time we will take round to visit the interesting places of Lhasa. Stay night at the hotel.

Day 8

​Departure

Today morning we will move towards Lhasa Gonggar Airport. From here we will take a flight to Kathmandu. Then, you will book a ticket to your hometown or move towards next destination, that’s depending on you.
