Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) Climbing is one of the trekking peaks in the Nepali Himalayan ranges. The peak has a nice central position in the Annapurna range. Tent peak is at the elevation of 5663meters.
 
The journey of Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) Climbing begins with a long drive (about 7hours) to Pokhara (850m) from Kathmandu. The trail passes through local villages and rafting rivers culturally rich places, following the trekking route of Tharpu Chuli. Along local trails, through forests, villages and terraced farm land treating you to unparalleled mountain scenery, giving you an inside experience in to the Nepalese life and culture. A breathtaking circle of hanging glaciers surrounded by some of highest peaks on earth make this trekking more attractive and beautiful.
 
Tent Peak rises above from Annapurna Base Camp (A.B.C.). To reach the base camp from A.B.C. the path ascends through scattered woods and pastures (4450m), it offers mesmerizing views of Himalayan ranges which is considered the best place for setting up the Base Camp. High camp is set up at (5200m). The well defined ridge leads to the final snow slop which is quite steep and more technical to reach the summit, vastly contrasting flora and fauna towards majestic peak of Himalayan ranges, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Fishtail, Annapurna third and many more Descent is made on the same route. The descent is equally wonderful due to variety of ethnic Nepalese cultures basically Gurung , oak rhododendron and pine forests and emerging in to Gurung Villages. breathtaking views of Himalayan ranges varied ecosystem, culture an ever changing landscape, green fields, forest of oak, pine and rhododendron  and the natural beauty of Pokhara make this one of the most famous trek in the world.
 
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons for Tent Peak Climbing. Although the trip can be taken during winter. The cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone. Trekking in summer or monsoon (June, July and August) will be affected by rain.

Outline Itinerary

 
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m
 
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu Durbar Square ,Swayambunath,  Pasupatinath & Buddhanath) & trek Preparation, overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m) by tourist bus, 7 hours, overnight at hotel.
 
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1:30 hours) and trek to Ghandruk (1900m) 5 hours, overnight at guest house
 
Day05: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2110m), 6 hours,overnight at Guest house
 
Day 06: Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2920m) Overnight at Guesthouse, 6 hours

Day 07: Himalaya Hotel to M. B. C. (Machhapurchare Base camp) (3700m) 5 hours, Overnight at guest house.

Day 08: M. B. C. to A. B. C. (4130m) (2-3 hours) and climbing preparation overnight at guest house.
 
Day 09: Trek to Tent peak Base camp (4450m) 5 hours, Overnight at Tented camp.
 
Day 10: Trek to High Camp (5200m), 5 hours Overnight at Tented camp

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak (5663m) and back to High camp 6 hours, Overnight at Tented camp
 
Day 12: High camp to A. B. C. 5 hours, overnight at Guesthouse.
 
Day 13: spare day in case of bad weather

Day 14: A. B. C. to Bambo (2310m) 5 hours Overnight at Guest house

Day 15: Bambo to Jhinu Dhada (1780m) 5 hours, Overnight at Guest house

Day 16: Jhinu dhada to Nayapul to Pokhara, Overnight at Hotel.
 
Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus (7 hours) 
 
Day 18: Departure Day

DETAILS ITINERARY

Day 1

​Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m


Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu, Nepal a representative from CORE TREK will pick up you and take to hotel. After that we take you to our office to visit and also to meet our crew. In the evening there will be a welcome dinner where you will be enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine, Overnight in Kathmandu at hotel.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu Durbar Square ,Swayambunath, Pasupatinath & Buddhanath) & trek Preparation. Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast we start a guided tour to most of the famous attractions in Kathmandu which are listed in UNESCO world heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar square, World famous Hindu temple called Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, The Monkey temple (swyambhunath). After the tour we get our equipment checked by our climbing leader, get introduced to fellow participants and discuss the trip at our office CORE TREK, Overnight in Kathmandu at hotel.

Day 3

​Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m) by tourist bus, 7 hours, overnight at hotel.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 200 kilometers west of Nepal. It takes about 7hrs by tourist bus, looking the beautiful views of Ganesh Himal and Mt. Manasalu. Driving along the Trishuli and Marshyangadi rivers give us a unique experience of journey. Pokhara is one of the tourist attractions of Nepal which is full of natural as well as cultural beauty. You can observe the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagari ranges, overnight in Pokhara at hotel.

Day 4

Drive to Nayapul (1:30 hours) and trek to Ghandruk (1900m) 5 hours, overnight at guest house.

We start our journey from Pokhara towards Nayapul one and half hours driving. On the way to Nayapul we  pass the popular river of Nepal called Seti river and the trekking includes the panoramic views of Annapurna Himalayan ranges, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Fishtail, Annapurna third and many more. We start our trek towards Ghandruk from Nayapul passing local villages and dense forest. On the way to Ghandruk we can see Modi Khola which comes from Annapurna base camp and Machepuchre base camp. We can see Waterfalls on our opposite side of the way. We will have a gradual ascent towards Ghandruk the inhabitant of Gurung people. The place Ghandruk is rich in its old traditional Gurung culture. We can see the breathtaking views of Annapurna Himalayan ranges, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Fishtail, Annapurna third and many more, overnight in Ghandruk at guesthouse.

Day 5

Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2110m), 6 hours,overnight at Guest house

From Ghandruk we are heading towards Chhomrong. It takes about 6hours.we continue our trek through local villages hillside covered by rhododendron, pine trees after walking 2.30 minutes we will reach Komrong Danda it’s a view point of this trek from where we see Komrang khola in our down and we see the panoramic views of Annapurna ranges. From there we descend around 1 hr towards Komrang Khola then ascend around 1 hr to Durbin Dada after that we reach Chhomrong a particular inhabitant of Gurung, overnight in Chhomrong at guesthouse.
 

Day 6

​Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2920m) Overnight at Guesthouse, 6 hours

After breakfast we are walking towards Himalaya Hotel. First 45minutes we  descend towards chomrong khola afterward crossing the hanging bridge of chomrong khola we ascend to Sinuwa Hill from where we see the breathtaking views of Annapurna Himalayan Ranges.from there we precede towards Himalaya Hotel by passing our famous trek route called Bamboo and Dovan, overnight in Himalayan Hotel at guesthouse.  

Day 7

​Himalaya Hotel to M. B. C. (Machhapurchare Base camp) (3700m) 5 hours, Overnight at guest house.

After breakfast we trek towards M.B.C. It takes about 5 hours. We Ascend towards Deurali from Himalayan Hotel. Following the way of Modi Khola then we reach M.B.C. overnight in M.B.C. at guesthouse.

Day 8

​M. B. C. to A. B. C. (4130m) (2-3 hours) and climbing preparation overnight at guest house.

Today we will trek to Annapurna Base Camp walking across the river and dry hill. We can see the breathtaking views of Annapurna Himlayan Ranges.  Our climbing guide will instruct us about climbing the peak, overnight in ABC at guesthouse.

Day 9

​Trek to Tent peak Base camp (4450m) 5 hours, Overnight at Tented camp.

After breakfast we start our walking towards Tent Base Camp. The trek ascend through thin forest and pasture land (4450meters)Pass the way of glacier dry hill views of Himalayan ranges pasture land base camp. This pasture land is considered the best place for setting up the base camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 10

​Trek to High Camp (5200m), 5 hours Overnight at Tented camp.

After our breakfast we climb up towards Tent Peak High Camp. Today we walked for 5hours and set up our high camp at the height of (5200meters).overnight at tented camp.

Day 11

Summit Tent Peak (5663m) and back to High camp 6 hours, Overnight at Tented camp.

Today is the main adventure day to fulfill our dream. We start our main mission of this trip early in the morning after breakfast. It is important to reach summit before noon due to the weather. After noon the strong winds in the high lands might becomes a barrier for a successful summit. The way is difficult due to rock and ice so we most use rope according to the instruction of the team leader. We start early in the morning to climb Ten Peak. At the summit we catch the mesmerizing views of Annapurna Himalayan ranges and many more, when we reach at a top we spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures. We safely descend same day back to High Camp, Overnight at tented camp.

Day 12

​High camp to A. B. C. 5 hours, overnight at Guesthouse.

From Tent High camp we start to walk towards A.B.C. it takes about 5 hours. The trail will go through the beauty of high altitudes. As the trail opens up you will be surrounded by Himalayan Peaks all the way, overnight in A.B.C. at guesthouse.

Day 13

​Spare day in case of bad weather.

This is spare day for the climb just in case of the bad weather, overnight at guest house.

Day 14

A. B. C. to Bambo (2310m) 5 hours Overnight at Guest house.

After breakfast we are heading towards Bamboo. It takes 5hours to reach Bamboo. Crossing the small settlement called Deurali, Himalaya and Dovan and passing the dense forest of rhododendron, overnight in Bamboo at guesthouse.

Day 15

Bambo to Jhinu Dhada (1780m) 5 hours, Overnight at Guest house.

Today you will trek to Jhinu Dhada through a beautiful and unique village called Sinuwa and Chhomrong an inhibitant of Gurung people Afterthat we reach to Jhinu Dhada, overnight in Jhinu Dhada at guesthouse.

Day 16

​Jhinu dhada to Nayapul to Pokhara, Overnight at Hotel.

Today we have wonderful walking through local villages called New Bridge then Kyumi. On the opposite of our way we can see the hive of bees hanging naturally on the cliff. Then we reach sewi village from where we are walking in off road then we reach Nayapul from where we have a vehicle towards Pokhara, overnight in Pokhara at Hotel.

Day 17

Drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus (7 hours) .

After breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu which will take 7hrs by driving. Passing the local villages and engage together with rafting river at the lunch time. We will host last farewell dinner, overnight in Kathmandu at hotel.

Day 18

Departure day.

Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today. A representative from CORE TREK will take you to the airport, approximately 3hrs before your flight scheduled.
