Everest Panorama trek is one of the most scenic walks in the shortest time of a week duration. A perfect moderate adventure with a touch of high altitude, suitable for all people and age groups. Where altitude gains gradually as you enjoy the scenic and cultural walks to the famous Namche Bazaar and picturesque Tengboche Monastery.

An adventure starts with a panoramic short flight to land at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla, facing an unparalleled Himalayan range. Includes views of Ganesh, Langtang, Jugal Himal, and majestic Mt. Gaurishankar with Mt. Everest.

Landing at Lukla's unique airstrip, to start the trek from the busy Sherpa town of Lukla. The walk follows through several villages adorned with impressive Buddhist monuments of prayer walls and spinning wheels.

An enjoyable walk, to begin with, crossing high bridges through the cool shade of tall tree lines of rhododendron and pines.  

Entering Sagarmatha National Park listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, enriched with exotic flora and fauna. The only national parks covering most world’s highest peaks, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse and

Mt. Cho-Oyu. As far as Mt. Makalu towards the eastern rim of the high Khumbu region of Everest. Truly a marvelous short adventure, where views of towering snow peaks remain constant throughout the trek.

Along with scenic views, the climb takes you to the major hub of Khumbu at the famous Namche Bazaar. A delightful place, where all trekkers and adventurers have an extra day to get acclimatized, before heading higher trails. Namche Bazaar offers a wide range of facilities for trekkers as well as for the local native Sherpa. Where once a week a colorful busy market is held every Saturday, hence the name tagged as Namche Bazaar.

At Namche bazaar, with time to explore its amazing viewpoints, and then the adventure continues towards our main destination.

Reaching the wonderful picturesque location at Tengboche and its majestic beautiful monastery, amidst beautiful forest surroundings.
Tengboche is encircled by an array of snow-mountain ranges with stunning views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. A great spot to soak within enchanting scenery of high snow peaks with the sound of monk's prayer chanting.

From Tengboche after mesmerizing moments and visiting the monastery of great cultural and religious interest. The return journey leads downhill with a few short ups to Lukla past Namche Bazaar for the last final overnight around the Everest region.

Next early morning a swift scenic flight brings you to Kathmandu, after a wonderful experience on Everest Panorama Trek.

Everest Panorama Trek In Nepal Itinerary

Day 01
Arrival to Kathmandu

Our staff from Core Treks will receives you at the airport on arrival for short transfer to your hotel. The hotel accommodation of three-star standard or above based on the preference of the clients. We will have a short briefing session at our office or in the hotel lobby and meeting rooms, regarding the trek details. Please feel free to ask questions during the briefing session. After a bit of walking around the streets of Thamel, we will wrap up for the day.

Day 02
Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and hike towards Phakding

This is one of the most dramatic and thrilling short flight experience in the world. The total flight duration of this scenic flight takes 35 minutes. After landing at Lukla, the trail opens out to reach towards first stop, after 3-4 hours of first day walk to Phakding village. Hike along Dudh Koshi River, flows from glacial source from various tributary of Everest and Khumbu areas mountain range. A moderate walk with down and few short ups through several villages, then reaching Phakding for overnight stop. In the comfort of a nice cosy lodge with the sound of Dudh Kosi River, at Phakding village.

Important Note: Lukla flights have been diverted to Ramechap instead of Kathmandu according to the recent notice from Aviation Authority. The drive from Kathmandu to Ramechap is about 4 to 5 hours.  (140 k.m) via B.P. Highway. Depart for Ramechap early in the morning to catch first flight to Lukla. Day 03
Phakding to Namche Bazzar


After breakfast at Phakding, the trek begins towards a mountain town of Namche Bazaar.
Several small settlements and villages to cross on route to Namche Bazaar.
Crossing over suspension bridge built by Sir Edmund Hillary, the first mountaineers to conquer Mount Everest with Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Walk leads through the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park and then climb up to Namche Bazaar. The main trading center around Khumbu and Everest region. Namche Bazaar offers good standard restaurants, pubs and internet cafes as well excellent lodges, hotels and resorts.

Day 04
Acclimatization day / Hike to Syanboche

Namche Bazaar, a perfect altitude and great place for acclimatization. A short hike up to Syangboche (3, 720 m) is done after breakfast. The panoramic view of the great Himalayan ranges such as Mount Everest (8, 848.86 m), Mt Lhotse (8, 749 m), Nuptse (7, 861 m), Ama Dablam (6, 856 m), and Kongde with Tharmasarku peaks can be seen from here.
Further from Namche and Syangboche lies the Everest View Hotel, located at 3,880 m the highest luxury hotels in the world. A great place for refreshing drinks with the backdrop of
Mt. Everest and adjoining high peaks.

Day 05
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

The journey towards Tengboche starts following a scenic trails high above the glacial river of Dudh Koshi. Facing mesmerizing views of the Himalayas, after a gradual walk, afternoon starts with few hour climb to famous Tengboche monastery. A grand spot overlooking views of
Mt. Everest and array of peaks, after checking into a nice lodge. Having time visit the majestic monastery at Tengboche, tour inside the main prayer hall stands 20-foot statue of Lord Buddha. Treasures incredibly ornate of wall hangings, and observe the musical instruments and robe of the Lamas and monks. A prayer ceremony is done every evening, where trekkers are allowed to observe the prayers and ritual.

Day 06
Tengboche to Monjo

Enjoy the morning Everest Panorama from most photogenic spot at Tengboche, having breakfast start the walk down to Imjatse River. A short steep brings you at Shanasa a small farm village on route to Namche Bazaar. From here few hours walk to Namche Bazaar for lunch stop, and then walk continues downhill to Dudh Koshi River. Walk leads past Jorsalle and crossing a high bridge with short steep up to exit gate of Sagarmatha National Park.

From the park post a few minutes easy walk to overnight stop in a lovely village at Monjo, in one of its nice good lodge.

Day 07
Monjo to Lukla

The shortest last day trek from Monjo to Lukla, a pleasant walk downhill as altitude gets much lower. Walk on the same trail, crossing a long bridge to Benkar and reaching Phakding.
From Phakding onwards, the trail follows ups and downhill past Ghat and Thado Koshi and then an hour or less climb to Lukla. Enjoy the last final overnight in Lukla, and bidding farewell to porters.  Afternoon after lunch explore the streets and market of Lukla, to catch last glimpse of local Sherpa’s cultures.

Day 08
Lukla to Kathmandu

The flight usually departs in the morning hours to Kathmandu or Ramechap, a short walk to Tenzing & Hillary airport. After checking in as the plane arrives board in a small aircraft for sweeping flight of 35 minutes to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu domestic airport transfer to your hotel, enjoying the scenic flight. In Kathmandu Core treks will host a last night farewell dinner in a nice traditional Nepali restaurant along with some cultural dance at the venue.

Rest of the day at leisure enjoy individual activities and shopping souvenirs on last day in Kathmandu.

Day 09
Departure Day.

Altitude Sickness: 

Symptoms of Altitude Sickness may start once you reach 1500-2000 meters and upwards. If you gain altitude rapidly without letting your body adapt to the thin oxygen at higher altitudes, you are most likely to suffer from Altitude Sickness. But if you plan for acclimatization days to your itinerary, you are good to go. 

The itinerary includes acclimatization days to avoid Altitude Sickness. The sickness is common at high altitudes. Please note that sickness is a topic to be taken very seriously. Here are some few extra preventions: 

  • Avoid climbing rapidly, give your body some time to adjust 
  • Drink more water, not less than 5 liters a day 
  • Eat more, eat often, and eat healthily 
  • Listen to your body, do not ignore symptoms 
  • Do not skip acclimatization days 
  • Be prepared in case of an emergency 

Safety and Security 

A comprehensive Travel Insurance is mandatory while trekking with CoreTreks. However, there are a few measures that you can implement to ensure safety: 

  • Secure your belongings 
  • Do not flash cash or jewelry 
  • Have an emergency plan 
  • Do not trek alone 
  • Only choose authorized trekking agencies 

Trekking Equipment 

CoreTreks will provide you with the essentials such as a Down jacket, four seasonal sleeping bags, a duffle bag, a t-shirt, a trekking map, a self-sufficient medical first aid kit, and more. These are to be returned after completion of the trek. 

Personal mountaineering gears are not included but we will provide you with a list of equipment necessary for your trek. 

Walking Hours 

On average, walking time per day is 5-6 hours below 3,000m. For altitudes higher than 3,000m the average walking time is 3-5 hours per day. The walking hours may vary according to conditions but do not exceeds 6 hours mark per day. 

Hiring a Porter/Guide 

An experienced guide will be provided for a group of 1-5. A group consisting of 6-12 individuals will be provided with 2 professional guides. The package also includes a porter for every 2 individuals. 

All our guides are licensed and well-experienced. They have been guiding with CoreTreks for almost a decade. Guides come in handy whenever you need some quick information, and to enhance overall trekking experience.
