Trip Highlights

  • Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi
  • Visit to the Langtang village and Kyajin Gompa
  • Panoramic views of the Himalayan Ranges
  • Crossing the Ganja La Pass which lies at 5132 meters

The beautiful valley of Langtang region, also known as the "Valley of Glaciers" lies about 70 miles north of Kathmandu. Langtang valley trek is some of the best trekking and tour packages in Nepal that includes mesmerizing destinations throughout the valley. The addition to the Langtang Valley trekking with Ganja La pass trek however is even more exciting and adventurous. Ganja La pass is one of the more difficult Himalayan passes in Nepal with a height of 5132 meters.

Visit to Langtang valley offers unique experience and opportunity to explore the Tibetan villages and Tamang villages giving travelers a new perspective of culture of the people of this community. This trek in Nepal also gives a unique chance to explore the wilderness to travelers as traveling in solitude is one of the strong points of this travel package in Nepal. Beautiful ecosystem of flora and faunas can also be observed during this trek adventure in Nepal. The trek in Langtang region however is bit more strenuous as we'll be walking over much higher altitude hence trekkers needs to be skilled and prepared with technical climbing equipment. There won't be any facilities around in the remote passes of the wilderness of the Himalayas and traveling group is to be fully self-sufficient for these few days. The trail follows a valley before reaching toward the glaciated pass where the use of ropes, ice axes, and crampons might be necessary. The Ganja La trail continues south, following the streams and moraines. Towards the north from the pass, the views of the Langtang Lirung and some other snow peaks in Tibet including Shisha Pangma (8013 meters) can be observed.

Travelers are to be equipped with proper equipment and skilled and experienced travel guides are provided by our company, Core Treks, during the travel to Langtang valley and Ganja La pass. The Sherpas and travel guides are the best at what they do and travelers can forget about stressing out they are by your side all the time during your trek in Langtang valley.

Exciting adventure to Ganja la pass

From: United Kingdom | On: 17 Oct, 2018

The trip to Nepal was really exciting adventure. As we hiked up the trials we discovered the local settlements at Langtang. The people were great and treated us with respect. They are really welcoming.

The Gompa was my favorite. The monks study there and are highly disciplined. The views were really awesome. If you are planning on trekking to Nepal, I would suggest you to be properly equipped.

Thanks to the team at CoreTreks for helping and guiding us through everything. We booked our trip last minute so almost had no time to prepare as much as we wanted. CoreTreks left no place to complain when it came to food and accommodation. I highly recommend you to book through CoreTreks if you plan on trekking to Nepal.

Refreshing trip to Langtang

From: Germany | On: 15 Sep, 2016

I really enjoyed my time in Nepal. We started our journey from Kathmandu which is a busy city with a lot of traffic. Our trek was fairly easy because we did not want to get exhausted and not have enough time to appreciate the natural beauty of Nepal.

I love the villages of Langtang and Kyajin Gompa. The people there are really welcoming and friendly.  I learned a lot about the culture and the people. It was an amazing trip overall.

Thanks to CoreTreks and the team for helping and guiding throughout our journey. Highly recommended for anyone trying to explore Nepal. They offer some great quality services.
