Every year, thousands of visitors travel to Pokhara for its beautiful Fewa Lake and a number of other beautiful destinations. Located approximately 200 kilometers (120 miles) west of the capital, Kathmandu, Pokhara is also considered the tourism capital of Nepal. Many medieval era temples such as Barahi temple, Bindhyabasini, Bhadrakali, Talbarahi, Guheshwari, Sitaldevi, Bhimsen, etc are located in Pokhara.

Upon reaching Pokhara we will be boating for an hour in Fewa Lake or you could choose to go rafting as an alternative.
Our next destination is Sarangkot, a village located on Sarangkot mountain at an altitude of 1600m from the sea level. It is famous for its panoramic Himalayan views including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu as well as the city of Pokhara and Fewa lake. After sightseeing the beautiful sunrise along with the Himalayas, we return back to our hotel. We will explore the city further and drive to Kathmandu early on the next day.

Trip Itinerary of Short Fewa Lake Tour in Nepal
Drive to Pokhara
After a light breakfast, we will start our drive to Pokhara. The drive is approximately 7- 8 hours depending upon the road condition and traffic. Upon reaching at Pokhara, we will go for an hour long boating on Fewa Lake. The lake is serene and joyful. Tourists from all over the world as well as the locals love Fewa Lake. Our overnight stay will be at a hotel in Pokhara.
Early morning drive to Sarangkot, Back to Hotel and sightseeing in Pokhara
On this day, we will start our day early. After having our breakfast, we will drive to Sarangkot for the beautiful panoramic sunrise view of the Himalaya. The location is not so far from Pokhara and can be reached without having to drive for long.
Then, we return back to our hotel and prepare for sightseeing in Pokhara. Pokhara is a lively city with a number of tourism attractions. Most of the day will be spent exploring the lively city of Pokhara. The overnight stay will be at a hotel in Pokhara.
Drive to Kathmandu.
Today, we drive back to Kathmandu. Again, it takes around 5-8 hours by drive depending upon the road conditions and traffic. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will have a farewell dinner party with delicious Nepali cuisine. Finally, the time has arrived, we part ways after bidding our good byes.

The itinerary includes acclimatization days to avoid Altitude Sickness. The sickness is common at high altitudes. Please note that sickness is a topic to be taken very seriously. Here are some few extra preventions:

- Drink more water, not less than 5 liters a day
- Eat more, eat often, and eat healthily

Safety and Security

On average, walking time per day is 5-6 hours below 3,000m. For altitudes higher than 3,000m the average walking time is 3-5 hours per day. The walking hours may vary according to conditions but do not exceeds 6 hours mark per day.
Hiring a Porter/Guide
An experienced guide will be provided for a group of 1-5. A group consisting of 6-12 individuals will be provided with 2 professional guides. The package also includes a porter for every 2 individuals.
