The Mustang valley looks and feels mysterious as the desert albeit landscapes are filled with hidden caves and artistic monasteries which date to couple hundred years ago. As the region is prevalent with Tibetan Buddhism, travelers will come across many monasteries and gompas along the way.

The Upper Mustang trek in Nepal is moderate in terms of travel difficulties however getting there requires some essential travel permit for Upper Mustang from the Government of Nepal. You'll need a special trekking permit for Upper Mustang to be able to visit so it is necessary for you to consult with a travel company in Nepal. Upper mustang is also considered to be one of the best places in the world for mountain biking. The Upper Mustang trek can be done all throughout the year except for winter. It was a privilege

From: United States | On: 17 May, 2019

Travelling to Nepal was a privilege for me and my friends. We had been planning for his trip for like a year. I’m glad that we finally did it. We had a good trek of around 21 days in Nepal. Throughout our trek we experienced and learned a lot about Nepal.

We chose Upper Mustang Trekking because we wanted to explore the Sky Caves that we heard about from National Geographic. The man made cave is really awesome. Those are basically caves craved by men on a rocky hill. I was really inspired by the hardworking people in Nepal who made it happen.

We enjoyed lots of other things such as the beautiful lakeside of Pokhara, flight to Jomson from Pokhara, the Muktinath Temple and many others that I cannot exactly remember. We are glad that we booked from CoreTreks. They were really great at guiding us and taking care of our luggage. I highly recommend anyone who’s looking to visit Nepal to book from CoreTreks as they provide excellent value for price and they are highly experienced in the field of trekking and travelling.

Scattered villages of Mustang

One of the things that I really enjoyed during my time in Nepal is the villages and people. We trekked to the Upper Mustang region so, we had an opportunity closely examine the settlements of people living in those mountain areas. I was fascinated by the hardworking and very welcoming people in Mustang.

We had a great time there. Our trip was planned perfectly so there were not any hectic emergency shopping while we were trekking. CoreTreks did an amazing job with preparing the travel checklist and they knew exactly what we were going to need during our hike.

I highly recommend CoreTreks for travelling purposes in Nepal. Our sole intent was trekking but they also provide extra features which you can look up. I have to say that they are a team of really talented professionals and they do not leave any chance to complain.

No words to describe the amazing places in Nepal

Nepal is really a phenomenal place to travel to. After completing the trekking in Upper Mustang region of Nepal, I can see why many travelers prefer Nepal for hiking and mountaineering purposes. The place is filled with wild scenic views which can be found nowhere else.

Our trekking was longer than the usual. It took us about 20days to complete the trek but I would say that it was totally worth it. We discovered a lot about Nepal. The beautiful lakeside of Pokhara city, Kagbeni village, monasteries and ancient monuments. The words really cannot describe how beautiful and amazing Nepal is.

We thank CoreTreks from the bottom of our heart for taking care of us and for guiding us through the trials of Upper Mustang. The cost of trekking in Nepal is also really affordable if you book with them. They are a team of dedicated professionals that helped us from packing to booking our flights. Thanks again, looking forward to visit Nepal again.

We wanted to get the most out of our short trip to Nepal. We had heard about the world famous Sky Caves in Nepal that lies in Mustang region. So, with an intent to experience that type of scenery, we booked for the Upper Mustang Trekking in Nepal.

The trekking was phenomenal and exciting. We started from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Then we took a flight to Jomson, which is widely famous travelling place in Nepal. They flight was really exciting as it provided some breathtaking aerial views of the mountains.

Beyond the mountains there lies the Sky Caves. As the name suggest itself these are the man made caves. That was the highlight of our trip. It’s amazing to see what people can do. It’s really inspiring. All thanks to CoreTreks and the professional guiding team for making this trip possible.
