The photography tour takes you to around and over the Himalayas with a short mountain flight. An incredible opportunity to scope out the intense and roaring mountains of Nepal, all at once. The flight will be of an hour but it’s more than enough to do a lap around the Himalayas. During the tour we will be visiting Pokhara, a beautiful and lively city on the lakeside. The Fewa lake is pristine and a whole another destination for boating and canoeing. The city contains wonderful waterfalls, gorges, and a stunning view of dawns that is pretty much unbeatable. Chitwan is located in the southwestern part of Nepal and is the fourth largest city. The place is widely famous for the national park named Chitwan National Park. This part of the trip will be more of a safari into the wilderness of Chitwan. Since, it is the first national park in Nepal, it carries a significant amount of value to the country. You get to explore a wide range of vegetation types in the Chitwan National Park. With more than 700 species of wildlife, the park is perfect destination for a safari. Some of them includes Bengal tigers, one-horned Rhinoceros, Leopards, Bengal foxes, Honey Badgers and striped Hyenas.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel

Our representative from CoreTreks will pick you up from the airport and take you to a hotel. The hotels are three-star or above based on your preference. We will have a brief session about our trek and a little bit of sightseeing or shopping around the streets of Thamel. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2

An hour long mountain flight and Bhaktapur Palace Tour

On our second day of the trip, we will be heading for the mountain flight which will be an hour long. we will drive to the Tribhuvan airport from the hotel. Expect for some breathtaking aerial views of the great Himalayas including Everest, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri massif, Kanchenjunga and more. Enjoy the closer experience to the mountains which is inexpressible in words that lies beyond one’s imagination. Upon landing, we will drive towards Bhaktapur which is considered to be one the oldest religious destination that conserves the art and culture of Newar community in Nepal. We will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, take some Nepal landscape photography if you prefer and call it a day. Our overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3

Sightseeing around Kathmandu (Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath & Bauddhanath Stupa)

After having our breakfast, we drive for around half an hour to Patan Durbar Square. The square is situated at the center of the city of Lalitpur. The palace is an attraction to many due to the fact that royal Malla Kings used to reside there. Besides that, the square is also a marvel of Newar architecture. Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Bhimsen Temple, etcetera are some of the temples that we will be visiting to.

Then we drive to the famous Pashupatinath temple. Located at 3km northwest of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath is one of the eight UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley. The temple reflects cultural, religious, and spiritual belief of the Hindu religion. People from all over the world come to get blessings from Pashupatinath.

After successful visit to Pashupatinath, we head towards Bauddhanath Stupa. Rich in Buddhist symbolism, the stupa is considered the largest stupa in Nepal. It is located on the eastern side of Kathmandu. The place is an important pilgrimage for Tibetan Buddhists as well as local people. Then we head back to hotel to spend the night after such a long and tiring day.

Day 4

Drive to Pokhara & overnight stay at Pokhara

On this day we start early since we have a long drive to Pokhara. After having our breakfast, we jump in the vehicle and then we wait. Enjoying the curved highways and beautiful scenery as we head outside the valley, drive to Pokhara is an amazing and somewhat thrilling experience in itself. There will be several break stops before finally arriving to Pokhara. The drive to Pokhara is pretty exhausting, so we spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5

Visit in Sarankot & sightseeing in Pokhara

Early morning drive to Sarankot from the hotel in order to see the sunrise. The driving is approximately 45 minutes to reach Sarankot. After enjoying our morning with beautiful panoramic view of the mountains we get back to the hotel. After breakfast, we prepare for the Pokhara tour. Pokhara contains numerous tourism destination and is widely famous among the locals too. Davis Fall, Gupteshor, Bat Cave, Bindabishini Temple, World Peace Stupa and Tibetan Refugee Camp are some of the major destination within Pokhara that we will be visiting to. Our overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 6

Fly to Jomsom & Drive to Muktinath, Overnight stay at Muktinath

On this day, we wake up early. After having our breakfast, we head towards the airport to fly to Jomsom. The flight will be of around 25 minutes. Jomsom is a great trekking destination with diverse land structure and delicious Nepali cuisine. Upon reaching Jomsom, we drive to Muktinath, which is known to be a famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists as well as Hindus. It is believed that bathing in the water of Muktinath ensures salvation after death. If you happen to be in Muktinath during September, you might encounter one of Nepal’s unique festivals of horse racing, known as Yartung. After exploring Muktinath for the day, we spend our night at a hotel.

Day 7

Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni

Today we will return to Jomsom but through a different route. This time we will go through Kagbeni, a village located in Upper Mustang. Here, you will explore the village full of mud houses and a very different lifestyle than that of other region of Nepal. The place is ideal to explore Tibetan culture and a wonderful opportunity to scope out the Himalayan range from up close. Kagbeni holds one of the oldest monastery in Nepal known as Kag Chode Thupten Samphel Ling Monastery, which will be the highlight of this day. We spend the night at a hotel in Jomsom and prepare for tomorrows flight to Pokhara.

Day 8

Flight to Pokhara & Drive to Chitwan National Park

Today we fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom. After having breakfast, we board the plane and within half an hour we will land at Pokhara. We start the day early as we have to drive to Chitwan National Park which is around 149km from Pokhara. The drive will be about 4 hours. After reaching Chitwan we will visit a few places around the national parks, taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. Then we will have our dinner and call it a day. Overnight stay will be at a hotel.

Day 9

Whole day Jungle activities in Chitwan

We start our day with some delicious breakfast and prepare for the jungle activities. Chitwan National Park offers a wide range of activities including Elephant Back Safari, Jeep Safari, canoe ride, cultural programs and visit to Elephant Breeding Centre. Jungle safari is an incredible opportunity to encounter rare animals and birds of Nepal such as Bengal tigers, one-horned Rhinoceros, Leopards, Bengal foxes, Honey Badgers and striped Hyenas. On the other hand, people love bathing with elephant so if you are interest we can go for elephant bathing as well.  After such a long day of playing with elephant, taking pictures, and walking, we end our day with some Nepali cuisine. Our overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 10

Drive to Kathmandu

Today we have a long drive ahead. After some breakfast, we will hop in the car and start our journey back to Kathmandu. Majority of this day will be spent driving as we have to cover around 205km of distance from Chitwan to Kathmandu. We stop at a few places for snacks and then we continue. After successfully reaching at Kathmandu, we prepare for tomorrows sightseeing in Kathmandu and have dinner. Overnight stay will be at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 11

Sightseeing in Kathmandu Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square

After having breakfast, we drive towards Swayambhunath, an ancient religious architecture in the Kathmandu Valley. It is located on the western side of Kathmandu. The stupa was constructed during Licchavi period and carries a lot value among Buddhist community. It has been renovated since then, also it has been a major attraction of Kathmandu city.

Then we head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square, an old royal palace of former Kathmandu Kingdom. The palace is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites as the square is surrounded with spectacular architecture and showcases the skills of Newar artists and craftsmen from centuries ago. We end our day after a delightful dinner. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 12

Optional Tour Day

This day is especially reserved for optional touring. On this day, you make the decision. Whether you want to experience cable car ride to Chandragiri or relax inside the Garden of Dreams, it’s all up to your preferences. Better yet, you could enjoy the day touring and shopping around Thamel Bazaar. We end the day with a delightful farewell dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 13

Departure Day

Like every other tour, it comes to an end. After bidding our goodbyes a representative from CoreTreks will transport you to Tribhuvan International Airport around 3 hours before your flight departure. Since, it might take some time for you to board a plane, we make sure that there is enough time for all the procedures at the airport.
