Nar Phu Trek with Annapurna Circuit In Nepal Overview
The Nar Phu Trek in Nepal gives the pleasure of experiencing the wilderness and isolated settlement in the restricted region of Nar Phu valley. This wild and rugged trek in Annapurna region of Nepal takes travelers through the exotic valley of Nar Phu with offers the flair of medieval Tibetan culture in its original and undisturbed form. The trail is filled with dramatic views of mountain peaks of Nepal mixed with alpine scenery. This trekking trail in Annapurna Region is fairly new and until some decades ago, this village of Nepal was hidden to many as the people from this village only had connections with few settlements from Tibet. This seldom traveled route of the Annapurna trekking trail is filled with high passes, remote villages, glaciers, narrow canyons, beautiful rock formations, and unique Himalayan cultures. Two famous high Himalayan passes, the Kangla Pass and the Thorong La pass, will be crossed during this trek in Nepal.
The other highlight of the trek in Nepal is the whole Annapurna Circuit in Nepal which is filled with all the elements that would make up for a perfect trekking experience. During this trek in Annapurna circuit, we'll be passing through the dry valley of upper Manang which is also home to isolated settlement of Tibetan-Buddhists, visit the Muktinath region, and the Kali Gandaki valley where world's deepest gorge lies. This trek in Nepal also gives the travelers a chance to encounter various mountain community and settlements of Gurung, Thakali, and Manangi people.
The Annapurna Circuit trek has been liked by many and is very popular among trekkers in the world since its opening in 1977. The trek begins from Besishahar and goes along the trails of Marshyangdi river accompanied by the amazing views of the Himalayan ranges. Some of the main mountain ranges of the Annapurna region are Mt. Dhulagiri (8,167m), Nilgiri (7,061m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Tilicho Peak (7,135m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Ganggapurna (7,454m), Chulu (6,584m), Fishtail (6,997m), Mardi Himal (5,553m), and Mount Manaslu ( 8,156m). Three of the mountain peaks among these are above the height of 8,000 meters. The trail goes through the north of the Himalayan range on towards the high and dry Tibetan Plateau. This trek even offers an amazing natural hot spring experience to travelers at a place called Tatopani.
The Nar Phu Valley trek is a restricted trekking in Nepal so a special permit through the government registered Nepal trekking agency and minimum of two people are required to get the Nar Phu trekking permit. Except during the winter, this trekking in Annapurna Circuit and Nar Phu valley trek can be done throughout the year although the best times would be during Spring (Mar-June) and Autumn (Sept-Nov) season.
