Best Time For Gokyo Lake Renjo La Pass Trek
The best time for the Gokyo and Renjo La Pass trek is Spring (March to May) and August (September to November). Summer and winter offer unique experiences. But it comes with additional challenges related to weather conditions. Let’s break down and understand the details regarding all the seasons in Nepal.
Spring (March To May)
Spring is one of the most popular times for trekking in the Himalayas. The weather is generally stable, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. The trails are adorned with blooming rhododendrons and other wildflowers. However, this season can be busy with other trekkers.
Summer/Monsoon (June To August)
Due to the monsoon rains, the trails are less crowded, and the valleys are lush and green. However, heavy rain can make trails slippery and challenging, raising the risk of landslides. Clouds and rain can also obscure mountain views, and leeches can be an issue at lower elevations.
Autumn (September To November)
Autumn is the best time to trek in Nepal. The monsoon rains clear the dust and pollution, leading to crisp skies and stunning mountain views. Like spring, autumn is popular, so the trails and teahouses are generally crowded. Make sure you book earlier before trekking.
Winter (December To February)
Winter treks offer solitude and serenity, with fewer trekkers on the trails. The views are clear, and the snowy landscapes add to the sense of wonder. However, the weather is very cold, especially at higher elevations, making trekking more challenging.

I didn’t have much time to prepare in detail, and I wasn’t sure about the weather, so I left everything to the last minute. In the end, everything turned out great! Before the trip, I met with Neem, who helped me buy an eSIM (though Ncell doesn’t work as well in the mountains as Namaste). It’s not as easy to get one in Kathmandu as you might think!I also had a wonderful guide, Bhim, who took care of everything for me, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. He even bought fruit for me, knowing better which ones were ripe. The choice of teahouses wasn’t fixed in advance, and it was nice that he let me decide — although, even then, I preferred to rely on his experience. In short, the trip was a success, and I truly recommend this company and these people.Agi from UK.Posted on Katarzyna SVerified Amazing experience We would like to thank you very much for organizing a wonderful trip.
