Bardia Jungle Safari Tour Overview

The Bardia National Park, Tarai's largest national park at 968 square kilometers, is where the Bardia Safari trip takes place. It is surrounded by the Churia Hills to the north and the Geruwa River to the west, extending from the Churia Hills to the Bhabar slope. Along with the Babai River Valley, it is also home to thirty different species of mammals, Ghariyal crocodiles, and dolphins.

The majority of the park is covered by Sal forests, where visitors can observe wild animals like elephants, bears, and one-horned rhinos in their natural environment. Monkeys, civets, hyenas, wild dogs, sloth bears, blue bulls, deer, and wild boars are among the other commonly observed animals.

There are more than 250 species of birds to observe, including the threatened Bengal florican, Sarus crane, and kingfisher. The three-day Bardiya National Park Tour is a fantastic way to see the natural beauty of Nepal's Tarai region.

You can choose to drive to the city of Tarai from Kathmandu on the first day of the itinerary or take a flight to Nepalgunj from the capital city. Bardiya National Park is 90 kilometers from Nepalgunj, Nepal’s western capital. From Kathmandu, driving will take approximately 10 to 12 hours, whereas flying only one hour will get you to Nepalgunj. You will travel further up to Bardiya National Park from Nepalgunj, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

You can enjoy the thrilling experience of getting up close and personal with wild animals like rare one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and tigers as you stroll through the dense Sal woods.
