By merging the practice of yoga with trekking, you immerse yourself in a holistic experience. It’s a chance to connect with nature, find inner peace, and reap yoga’s diverse benefits.

Trek Routes To Everest Base Camp Trek

The trek typically starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla is a small mountain town that serves as the gateway to the Everest Region. From Lukla, the path goes through Sherpa villages, green forests, and hanging bridges. Along the way, you will stay in teahouses and lodges. Staying at these places allows you to enjoy the warm hospitality of the local Sherpa people. You can also learn about their rich culture and traditions. Daily yoga sessions are mainly held in serene, natural settings. It enhances the connection with the surrounding environment and promotes inner peace and mindfulness.

As the trek progresses, the altitude increases. You pass through notable landmarks such as Namche Bazaar and Tengboche. Combining physical exertion and yoga helps acclimatize the body to the thinning air, reducing the risk of altitude sickness. The journey culminates at Everest Base Camp, 5,364 meters (17,598 feet). Upon reaching the top, you will feel the immense presence of Mount Everest, along with other surrounding peaks.

The return journey follows the same route back to Lukla, allowing you to revisit your favorite spots. Booking with us, we can complete this whole trek in just 14 days. We follow the traditional EBC route and take Lukla flights.

Best Time For Everest Yoga Trek In Nepal

The best time to trek the Everest Base Camp Yoga Trek is Spring (March to May) and August (September to November). Although you can explore EBC in any season, we suggest you avoid Summer and Winter. Here is a detailed explanation of all four seasons of Nepal.

Spring (March To May)

Trekking EBC Yoga Trek during this season offers stunning mountain views. It provides clear skies, mild temperatures, and stable weather. The blooming rhododendron flower is the major highlight. However, you can encounter mild rainfall, and the trails can become too crowded. Make sure you book the accommodation earlier.

August (September To November)

This is another perfect season to explore the EBC. Like Spring, Autumn offers clear skies, mild temperatures, and stable weather. There is also a low chance of encountering rainfall in this season. Also, since it falls in the festival season, this season is perfect if you want to immerse yourself in local culture even more. But make sure it’s crowded.

Summer (June-August)

Summer welcomed rainfall, making trekking difficult. The weather is unstable, and you may also encounter heavy rainfall. The rainfall welcomes muddy trails, and the roaming clouds can dim the visibility. If you plan to trek this season, get all the necessary gear and never miss carrying a raincoat. We highly recommend you not to climb in this season.

Winter (December To February)

The winter season brings heavy snowfall, making the trail slippery. Although the views can be mesmerizing, the heavy snowfall can be a huge problem. Also, many teahouses at high altitudes close during the season because of extremely cold temperatures. Make sure you pack heavy and layering clothes if you are trekking in this season.

Everest Base Camp Trek Acclimatization Day

The highest point of the Everest Base Camp Yoga Trek is at Kalapather. It is at 5,644 meters (18,520 feet) above sea level. If you go to high altitudes, you can often get acute mountain sickness or altitude sickness. Lower blood oxygen levels bring it on. The decrease in oxygen levels when you go higher up causes altitude sickness.

During the trek, taking rest days to acclimate is the best way to prevent altitude sickness. Adapting to the increased altitude, climate, and environment, your body needs acclimatization. Acclimatization aids in physiological adaptation, which lowers the possibility of altitude sickness.

During our 14-day Everest Base Camp Yoga Trek, we take two days as rest days for acclimatization. These two days are:

  • Day 04: Namche Bazaar, Acclimatization Day
  • Day 07: Dingboche, Acclimatisation Day
